Three days in Weligama: surf, sea views and time to settle
Three days in Weligama is enough for an introduction to the coast without turning the stay into a race. Use this as a flexible outline: settle into your room, arrange a surf session and choose one outing that interests you. Your arrival time and the sea conditions should decide the order. This is an itinerary suggestion; activities, meals and transport are arranged separately.

Before arrival: keep the first decision simple
Choose your room and your arrival plan first. Compare the room-specific galleries, enter your actual dates in the booking search and confirm the meal plan you select. If you want a tub or an outdoor lounge, book the named category rather than assuming those features come with every room.
Send the hotel your expected arrival window. For an airport pickup, agree the vehicle, luggage, full quote and meeting point. For a train arrival, check that the service stops at Weligama and plan the final ride to Kapparathota. Starting with those details removes the most avoidable uncertainty from a short trip.
Day one: arrive, eat and find your bearings
The published room check-in time is 14:00. If you land much earlier or arrive late, ask what can be arranged in advance. Once you reach Ocean Bliss, unpack and look at the coast map. The cove in front of the hotel, Weligama's main beginner surf beach and the neighbouring towns are separate places.
Keep the first afternoon light. A meal, time in your room and an orientation around the hotel may be enough after travelling. If you want to go out, choose one place and arrange the return. There is no need to fit a surf lesson and a second town into the day you arrive.

Day two: a lesson and an open afternoon
If learning to surf is part of the trip, contact the team with your experience, number of surfers and preferred day. Confirm the instructor, meeting point, session format, price and inclusions. Let the instructor choose a suitable location and time around the conditions rather than fixing the water session from a travel article.
Keep the afternoon open for what you feel like afterwards. You might prefer a local meal, time in a shared lounge or a quiet hour in your room. Having an available afternoon also makes it easier to move the lesson if the proposed conditions or arrangements change.

Day three: choose one outing
Choose between another local morning and a longer outing. Ahangama, Mirissa and Galle Fort serve different interests; you do not need to combine them. If you are interested in a boat trip, confirm the Mirissa operator's departure and return arrangements before fitting it into a departure day.
For a Galle Fort visit, check the outward and return transport and leave enough time to explore without rushing back. If your flight or onward journey leaves little margin, stay closer to your base instead. A last breakfast and a comfortable departure can be a better ending than an outing with a tight connection.
Keep a version of the plan for a wet day
Outdoor plans depend on the day you actually have. If rain or sea conditions change them, use the time for a meal, reading, work or a relaxed afternoon in your chosen room. Check an indoor venue's opening information before making a special trip.
A three-day trip does not need a fixed timetable to feel full. Decide which experience matters most, arrange that carefully and leave the rest flexible. If you want more time for several towns or a working routine, compare a longer stay in the booking search rather than compressing all of it into a weekend.
Questions guests ask
Are the activities included in my room booking?
This is a suggested itinerary, not a package. Confirm lessons, outings, meals and transport separately and read your selected room rate's inclusions.
Can I fit whale watching into departure day?
Confirm the operator's meeting time and return arrangements, then compare them with your onward journey. Choose another day if the margin is too tight.
